DATA USAGE POLICY

This policy outlines how Pulse Insights collects, uses, and protects data from platform users and their end users. We are committed to handling data responsibly and transparently.

1. Information We Collect from Platform Users

When you sign up for Pulse Insights, we collect personal information such as your name, email address, and company name. This information is used for:

• Account creation and authentication

• Client support and communication

• Service improvement and analytics

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties unless required by law or with your explicit permission.

We use industry-standard physical, electronic, and organizational safeguards to protect this data, including encrypted storage, access controls, and routine security audits.

2. Information We Collect from End Users of Your Websites & Apps

When you embed the Pulse Insights snippet on your properties, we collect anonymous technical and behavioral data from your end users for the purpose of survey targeting and reporting. This includes:

• Browser and operating system

• IP address (used for geo-inference and bot detection only)

• Page URL (including completion URL)

• Timestamp and device type

• Custom metadata you choose to pass with the submission

This data helps our system decide which surveys to trigger and supports aggregate analytics.

We also track API and survey activity at the account level for usage analytics and billing.

3. How We Use Collected Data

Pulse Insights uses collected data to:

• Trigger and deliver relevant surveys

• Generate client-specific performance metrics and feedback reports

• Support alerting, analytics, and dashboard tools

• Improve product functionality and user experience

• Analyze aggregate usage trends across clients to inform product development

All client data is handled confidentially. We will not share identifiable or client-specific data without anonymizing and aggregating it—unless the client provides explicit, written permission.

4. Third-Party Integrations (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)

Pulse Insights enables clients to connect survey data to analytics tools like Google Analytics. This occurs via client-side scripts that send non-personally identifiable (non-PII) survey responses (e.g., segmentation labels) upon submission.

Pulse Insights does not receive or access data directly from these third parties. We only transmit anonymous data to them from the browser based on your configuration.

We prohibit the use of our technology to send or receive personally identifiable information (PII) to or from analytics platforms in ways that violate their policies or ours.

5. Data Security and Incident Response

We take data security seriously and invest in secure infrastructure and processes. Protections include:

• Encryption in transit and at rest

• Regular third-party penetration testing

• Role-based access controls

• Monitoring and alerting systems

In the event of a security incident involving your data, we will act quickly, including notifying affected clients, resetting credentials if necessary, and executing our incident response and communications plan.

6. Policy Updates

We may revise this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at:

For material changes, we will provide prominent notice (e.g., via email or in-app message).
