DATA USAGE POLICY

The context of this document is to define how data is used by Pulse Insights.

1. Information we receive from you

As a Pulse Insights platform user, we collect the your personal information such as your name and email when you signup for our service. This is for our internal record keeping and we may use this information to improve our products and services. We will not share this information with any third party unless required by law.

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

2. Information we receive from end users of your web & mobile properties
When you place your Pulse Insights Code Snippet across your site, Pulse Insights receives information about end user site usage in order to determine which surveys to fires. Information captured includes:

  • Browser
  • Operating System
  • IP Address
  • Completion Page URL
  • Custom data that you program to send to Pulse Insights to be stored with the submission.

This data is used for triggering & reporting features.

Pulse Insights also has server call counters used to track clients’ Pulse Insights usage for billing and engagement measurements. Thus Pulse Insights sees aggregate client traffic levels where the Pulse Insights code snippet is installed.

3. How we use information we receive
Pulse Insights uses this data for aggregating a client’s user feedback and performance metrics for reporting and alerting functions.

Pulse Insights may also use aggregate data across clients for

  • Informing future product features
  • Internal operations including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research
  • Service improvement

Client data is held in the strictest of confidence; it won’t be shared without anonymizing and aggregating unless there is explicit written permission from client.

4. Integration with other parties such as Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics

Pulse Insights has the ability to integrate Pulse Insights survey submission data with other third party providers. For example, if a Pulse Insights survey asks if end users on a travel website if they are shopping for business or pleasure, by integrating with Google Analytics, the client can compare conversion rates segmented by how users answered the survey in Google Analytics.

The anonymous survey response data is inserted into Google Analytics via client-side code that runs in the browser upon survey submission.

Pulse Insights does not have access to any data directly from Google Analytics, but rather sends non-PII data to Google Analytics.

Pulse Insights will not (and will not allow any third party to) use the Pulse Insights to track, collect or upload any data that personally identifies an individual (such as a name, email address or billing information), or other data which can be reasonably linked to such information by Google.

5. Security and bugs
We invest heavily to keep your information secure and our service bug-free. If there is a suspected or known breach or error that compromises any client data security, we may trigger mandatory password resets and will invoke our client communication plan.

6. Notice of Changes
If we make changes to this Data Use Policy we will post publicly here (www.pulseinsights.com/policies/data-usage-policy). If the changes are material, we will provide you additional, prominent notice as appropriate under the circumstances.
