Pulse Insights is here to help you design your program and capture Zero Party Data.
Help us understand your goals & build a list of key learnings you'd like to gather
Pulse Insights will give you the assets you need to communicate program capabilities, plan, and expected impact internally to start implementation in earnest
Key steps
Fill out this Email Campaign Brief -- This isn't final, it just helps us understand your goals and prep for your kickoff meeting.
Kickoff Meeting(s) - schedule via your Client Success Manager (CSM)
Pulse Insights will come with ideas (informed by your Campaign Brief) for your feedback
Review implementation process overall & create a draft timeline
Introduce Pulse Insights to your key or new stakeholder teams
Leverage Playbooks, Question Library, and Best Practices as needed
Deliverables
You'll complete a Campaign Brief & define your learning objectives
Pulse Insights will suggest starting points for customer learning that ladder up to your goals
Pulse Insights will deliver implementation documentation
Pulse Insights will deliver draft survey design when possible (copy, flow, formatting, targeting) for your team's feedback

Survey Design
Including copy, question flow, formatting, and targeting
Goals of this phase
Define the first set of emails we will launch, including language, question flow, formatting, and targeting.
Key steps
Perform any necessary internal buy-in and approval processes
Provide feedback and finalize the copy and question flow discussed at your kickoff meeting
Collaborate with Pulse Insights to finalize the formatting & targeting.
Pulse Insights can work with your functional teams as needed (e.g., UX/Design, Data, Privacy, Accessibility)
Deliverables
- You'll send the approved copy, question flow, and targeting (landing page URL).
- You'll identify client key, email service provider, and desired integrations & set up a follow-up meeting with the necessary technical teams.

Deploy Tag
Including copy, question flow, formatting, and targeting
Goals of this phase
Determine a Client Key (user identifier), implement the Pulse Insights tag, provide email service provider (ESP) information, and enable any additional context data desired.
Key steps
Your technology team will implement the tag in your environment. This can (and should) happen in parallel to your work designing the survey.
Collaboratively determine a Client Key (user identifier) and additional context data to collect
Collaboratively determine Email Service Provider (ESP) and your ESP’s Merge Tag syntax (e.g., %%user_id%%) so that Pulse Insights can generate your links.
How to integrate
Use your personalized Integration Guide, available via your CSM or in your Console Account
Use Documentation as needed
Schedule an implementation meeting with your Solution Engineer to discuss Client Key (user ID), Email Service Provider, & Context data via your Client Success Manager
Invite necessary stakeholders including your tagging, data, ESP management, privacy, and accessibility teams
Deliverables
Pulse Insights will deliver a customized Implementation Guide to provide instructions for how to implement the Pulse Tag. The tag is also available in your Console account.
Pulse Insights will provide documentation for features including privacy, data ingestion, and Client Key
Your technology team will deploy Pulse Insights tag in your environments.
Your technology team will pass a Client Key and context data to Pulse. We will collaboratively discuss data collection and pass-through, and ESP Merge requirements.

Email Links
Goals of this phase
Build the survey you will send within your email.
Key steps
Pulse Insights will code the theme, copy, and question flow for the on-site thank-you message or follow-up question(s).
Pulse Insights will provide links for each response.
You will configure the email design, copy, and distribution list and insert links into your email template. Optional: Your ESP will control the conditional logic of when the survey block will appear and in which templates it will appear
If Dynamic Email (AMP for Email), you’ll insert a code snippet instead of links. Talk to your CSM for additional details.
Deliverables
You will build the email and landing page to host your Pulse Insights survey
Pulse Insights will provide links that correspond to each answer choice which allow you to create an interactive survey.

Integrations
Goals of this phase
Integrating into your CRM/CDP is essential to gaining value from Progressive Profiling. Each Integration is unique and Pulse Insights will work with your team to make sure data is flowing to the right places.
Key steps
Define data destination and timing
Determine desired data points. Standard Data Points include: Account Name, Account ID, Survey Website, Date, Time, Timestamp, Question, Response, Tags, SurveyID, Previous Surveys, QuestionID, ResponseID, NextQuestionID, Pageview Count, Visit Count, Device Type, DeviceUDID, Client Key, Completion URL, View Name, Event, Context data, Device data, Sentiment Score, Sentiment Magnitude, OS, Browser, Browser version, Channel
Work with your Pulse Insights Solution Engineer to gather requirements and communicate any necessary integration customizations
Pulse Insights configures integrations and customized reporting
Deliverables
- Provide information on the desired implementation via this integration form. Required information includes a list of desired data points, data destination details, and your desired cadence for receiving data.
- Pulse Insights configures and tests integrations & reporting. Note: some reporting must be tested post-launch.

QA & Approvals
Goals of this phase
In this phase, you will provide final edits from all stakeholders, and Pulse Insights will implement edits. After running a battery of tests around front-end experience and data collection, we will jointly confirm the surveys are good to launch.
Key steps
Both teams will preview and QA the thank you message and on-site questions in staging or use preview mode links from your Customer Success Manager (CSM).
Both teams will preview and QA the in-email survey for QA by sending a test and including Pulse on the email.

Pulse Insights will validate data capture and integrations
The two teams will jointly QA
You will give Pulse Insights approval to launch
Pulse Insights will confirm when live and perform a post-launch validation & you will send the email.
